City of St. Anthony Council Minutes <br /> 0 June 14, 1994 <br /> Page 10 <br /> 1 Mayor Ranallo stated that Councilmember Marks called him before Marks left <br /> 2 town and said the President of the City Council for our Sister City, Salo, <br /> 3 Finland, would be in town on August 9th. Marks wondered if the Council <br /> 4 would go out to dinner that evening with the President before the City Council <br /> 5 Meeting. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 F. Interim City Manager: <br /> 8 1. Update on the Sale of the City's Two Lots on Coolidge and 27th Avenue <br /> 9 N.E.. Mr. Hamer distributed a letter regarding the two lots from <br /> 10 FirStar Bank. The bank would like to consider this a community project <br /> 11 and proposed to help with the sale of these lots. The lots were <br /> 12 advertised for $35,000 each in the local paper, StarTribune, and the St. <br /> 13 Paul Pioneer Press. A list of previous contacts is being looked into. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 2. Proposed Signal Lights on Stinson Boulevard Between 38th and 39th <br /> 16 Avenues N.E. This is a joint cooperation with the City of Columbia <br /> 17 Heights. Hamer suggested the City could possibly add the $25,000 for <br /> 18 the proposed signal light system into the Apache Tax Increment <br /> 4 Financing District. <br /> 21 3. Request from Fast Glass. Inc.. Fast Glass Inc. will go before the <br /> 22 Planning Commission at their June meeting to request a conditional use <br /> 23 permit to repair vehicfe glass windows, mufflers, etc. at 4000 Silver <br /> 24 Lake Road. Their closing is scheduled for June 30th and they have <br /> 25 asked that the Council hear their request for a conditional use permit at <br /> 26 their June 28th meeting rather than the July 12th meeting. The applicant <br /> 27 was not present which prompted the Mayor to state that they must follow <br /> 28 the procedure. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 4. Informational Letter from Happy's Potato Chips. Happys has not <br /> 31 produced potato chips for at least 3 months. They want to change their <br /> 32 St. Anthony operation to produce snack chips. There will be three shifts <br /> 33 and the third shift will be for cleaning purposes. Their production <br /> 34 would be done by 11:30 P.M. or 12 midnight. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 5. Recycling Phone Books. The Council indicated the City will not recycle <br /> 37 phone books because the Recycling Center is no longer open. <br /> 38 _ <br /> 39 6. Discussion of Meeting Minutes. Councilmember Fleming stated a <br /> resident called her attention to something that was said during a Council <br /> meeting. She listened to the tape of that meeting and in so doing <br />
