Mayor. <br /> 6 1. Letter from Sister City. Cityana Manager Reijo Lindqvist, <br /> 7 Mayor Ranallo reported he had received a letter from City Manager(Mayor) Reijo <br /> 8 Lindqvist, indicating he had learned of the 50th Anniversary Celebration from the St. <br /> 9 Anthony newsletter and is planning to visit St. Anthony from August 1 st through August <br /> 10 6th. <br /> 11 Ranallo directed City Manager to draft a letter in response to Mr. Lindqvist. <br /> 12 2. Request for a City Representative at the May 2nd Meeting of the Northwest <br /> 13 Youth and Family Services. <br /> Mayor Ranallo reported the Northwest Youth and Family Services was requesting a <br /> *5 representative to be present at.the May 2, 1995 meeting at 4:30 P.M. Council consensus <br /> 16 was reached that either City Manager or the Management Assistant would attend. <br /> 17 3. Request for a City Representative to Participate on the Fort Snelling Community <br /> 18 Support Advisory Council. <br /> 19 Council consensus was reached for Mayor Ranallo to participate on the Fort Snelling <br /> 20 Community Support Advisory Council and Fleming would serve as an alternate. <br /> 21 C. Council, <br /> 22 Wagner reported he had met with the Sports Boosters' Jim Kozarek and Enrooth had met <br /> 23 with the Sports Boosters' Terry Taylor,to request funding for the new gym based on the <br /> 24 new configurations of 90 by 100 feet with a 30 by 30 foot storage area at an estimated <br /> 25 annual cost of$131,000.00. He indicated this was a proposal to counter their proposal. <br /> 26 They will now meet with their board to discuss the figures. <br /> 27 Ranallo requested a written report be prepared to outline current proposals and keep the <br /> 28 Council up-to-date on the progress being made. <br /> 29 Wagner commented on the number of letters received from other cities commending the <br /> 30 St. Anthony Police Officers for their efforts. He felt it important the Police Department <br /> and Fire Department was recognized by the City of St. Anthony also, for the good work <br /> they do in their own community. <br />
