Below is detailed the specifics: <br /> -The budget cost to upgrade is S 26,500 <br /> -The pneumatic VAV Boxes would be upgraded to DDC Control. This would give you such <br /> features like Day/Nite, Summer/Winter setpoints for CFM and Temperature. These setpoints can <br /> be time scheduled or set from date or weather conditions. <br /> -The Rooftop HVAC units would remain packaged controls. We would monitor critical <br /> Temperatures and control the On/Off operation of the units. <br /> -A Non Graphic PC would be installed in the building to Print and record the HVAC activity in <br /> the Building as well as acting as a Programing Terminal. This PC can monitor and control <br /> remote buildings through the use of telephone line modems. This may be of interest to the city for <br /> future Maintenance purposes. <br /> -The Unit and Cabinet Unit Heaters would remain Stand Alone control for economic purposes. <br /> Historically,DDC systems can save S .15 to S .25 per square foot over a pneumatic system. This is based <br /> on annual operating costs of approximately S 1.50 1s.f.per year. This would give you a range of cost <br /> savings of approximately S 5,000 to S 8,350 per year. <br /> I hope this will be of benefit to you.
