It is.a 10 large sign to begin with and no one was present at the meeting to explain why the 11 amendment was being requested. 12 Motion carried unanimously. 13 Mayor Ranallo asked what the schedule was for the new CUB Foods Store. 14 Mr. Meveson reported the parking.lot has been installed. A March opening is anticipated. • 15 He noted the cold weather would affect the schedule but not by more than one week. 16 Commissioner Franzese noted that on October 15, 1996,the Planning Commission 17 recommended approval of a 15 foot side yard setback variance in order to construct an 18 addition to an existing porch for Assaad Hark, 2914 - 36th Avenue N.E. On October 22, 19 1996, the City Council voted to approve a 7_5 foot side yard setback variance rather than 20 a 15 foot variance. She noted this should be corrected for the record. 21 B. Councilmembers. 22 Wagner reported his attendance at the second committee meeting of Healthy Community/ 23 Healthy Youth Organization. They are proceeding to hire an interim coordinator for a three 24 month period on a part time basis, to establish the real need for a director of the program. . 25 Funding is available for the coordinator. The organization currently has a balance of$7,000 and 26 is planning to derive additional funds through grants. Their estimated budget is$10,000 to 27 $15,000 per year. He noted several other task forces are also meeting. There will also be 28 meetings with other organizations who are working with youth now to determine what they do 29 and determine what is needed to improve the assets of youth in the community.
