4. We would like to create a Parks Advisory Task Force. This Task Force will be appointed
by the City Council and responsible for presenting a plan to the Council on how and
when the rest of the parks should be developed and how to pay for them. We would like
one City Councilmember, one School Board member, one Sports Booster member, one
Community Service representative to be on the Task Force, as well as six St. Anthony
residents-at-large, who will represent the great and varied interests of our community.
If you are interested in serving on the Parks Advisory Task Force, please send a letter of interest
to City Manager Mike Morrison by June 25th. The Council will appoint members at their July
8th Council meeting. The date and timing of the meetings of the Task Force would be
determined by the Task Force members themselves at their first meeting. The first meeting is
scheduled for Monday, July 14th at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall/Community Center. The Council anticipates the Task Force to meet once a month for six
months and then make a report to them early in 1998.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact City Manager Mornson or
Management Assistant Kim Moore-Sykes at 789-8881.
Sincerely,
CITY OF ST. ANTHONY
Clarence J. Ranallo
Mayor
