If the residents wanted their sidewalk done and it was necessary, the work was
completed at the cost of the resident.
Morrison noted two people have tripped on the sidewalk and the sidewalks are in need of
repair. The Public Works Director has recommended that the unsafe conditions be protected
with asphalt and plans and specifications for a bid be prepared at the same time that 33rd
Avenue is done. Morrison questioned if the assessments for sidewalks are handled in the
same manner as street improvements.
Mayor Ranallo noted that previously residents have been assessed for 100% of the sidewalk
costs.
Morrison stated he would check the sidewalk policy for assessment and report back to
Council.
VIII.
