DKH Indicated that they would d the retention pond work
and place the material from the pond area under the new tennis courts, thereby
raising the elevation of the courts by 12", for a cost of $13,625: and add another 6"
of crushed limestone for an additional $11,100 resulting In a total change In elevation
of 18" and a cost of $24,725. Graus has offered a credit of $3,750 for deleting the
.retention pond work which would result In a net add to the city of $20,975 for raising
the courts.
If Graus were to continue with the retention pond work.the material will be hauled off
site. DKH would have to bring In other material to raise the elevation 12" at a cost of
approximately $18,000 plus the $11,000 for the 6" of limestone. The net add to the
City will be $29,000 in Ileu of $20,975 to accomplish the same result.
If the City wants to raise the courts, it seems foolish to continue with the current
allocation of work. If you want to process change orders for the above work, please
let me know.
