Foster. Wentzell. Hedback&Brever in the amount of$3,000.00 for professional <br /> 5 services rendered. <br /> 6 B. Road Improvement Projects: <br /> 7 1. Rieke Carroll Muller Associates in the amount of <br /> 8 a. $113.17 for professional services rendered from August 2, 1998 to August <br /> 9 29, 1998 with regard to the 1997 street/watermain improvements. <br /> 10 b. $2,608.39 for professional services rendered from August 2, 1998 to <br /> 11 August 29, 1998 with regard to the 1998 street improvements. <br /> 12 C. $6,986.79 for professional services rendered from August 2, 1998 to <br /> 13 August 29, 1998 with regard to 33rd Avenue construction. <br /> 14 2. Progressive Contractors in the amount of$117,532.79 for concrete pavement <br /> 15 rehabilitation on 33rd Avenue from Silver Lake Road to H'ighcrest Road. <br /> 16 3. Forest Lake Contracting. Inc. in the amount of$6,694.17 for 1998 watermain, <br /> 17 street and storm sewer improvements. <br /> 18 C.. Rehab_ilitation of the Water Tower: • <br /> 19 1. Rieke Carroll Muller Associates in the amount of$2,192.85 for professional . <br /> 20 services rendered from August 2, 1998 to August 29, 1998 with regard to <br /> 21 rehabilitation of the elevated water tower. <br /> 22 D. 2 pages of Verified Claims as presented by the Finance Director. <br /> 23 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 24 VIL REPORTS. . <br /> 25 A. Parks Commission- September 14, 1998. <br /> 26 Mayor Ranallo welcomed Carol Jindra, Chair of the Parks Commission. Ms. Jindra stated there <br /> 27 have been developments on Silver Point Park renovations since she last addressed the Council. <br /> 28 She stated 2 options for the renovation of the park were designed by WSB, adding the Parks <br /> 29 Commission had decided to recommend one of the two options to the City Council. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Ms. Tindra stated the possibility of an adult ballfield had been.eliminated due to lack of space. She <br /> 32 added 4 adult ballfields will eventually be located in Central Park, and Silver Point Park will have <br /> 33 a decidedly youth focus. Ms. Jindra stated the two proposed ballfields.would accommodate <br /> 34 youth sports up to 13 years old, and incorporate a multi-use area which can be converted a <br /> 35 soccer field. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Ms. Jindra stated a half-court basketball court would be located near the parking area, and a play <br /> 38 structure and picnic shelter/warming house would be located between the two ballfields. She • <br /> 39 added engineers have made depth changes to accommodate a trail along the perimeter of the park. <br /> 40 Ms. Jindra stated the Parks Commission had decided to have a separate bid for the stockpiling of <br /> 41 material.in Central Park to ascertain the cost effectiveness of the stockpile.'
