Childs perceived some compromise on elevations would be nec- essary because he knew the neighbor to the north would prefer to have all the earth to the south removed. Evanson said if a grading plan is approved by the neighbors, Commission and Council, he perceived it might be nec- essary to delay the actual grading until driveways, homes, etc. are completed to avoid removal of vegeta- tion which currently holds back erosion down into the street.
