Also. <br /> 8 informtional flyers will be available at City Hall and additional <br /> 9 information will be carried in Cable Channel 16. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 2. Report of Councilmember Fleming <br /> 12 Councilmember Fleming is continuing her work with the Operation <br /> 13 Identification Program. In August a new program, Personal <br /> 14 Protection Program, will .begin. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 3. Report of Councilmember Enrooth <br /> 17 Councilmember Enrooth is serving on . the Association of <br /> 18 Metropoltan !Municipalities' Study Committee which will review the <br /> 19 Metropolitan Council . <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Councilmember Enrooth attended the Village Feat meeting on July <br /> 22 8th. He reported that the plans for the affair are moving right <br /> 23 along and the Committee is now having weekly meetings. He noted <br /> 24 that there is a need for more volunteers for this year's events. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 4. Report of Councilmember Marks <br /> Councilmember Marks noted that the Ramsey County Delegation of <br /> 2 the Ramsey County League of Local Government has scheduled a <br /> 29 meeting on July 17th. He plans to attend the meeting. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 5. Report of Mayor Ranallo <br /> 32 The Mayor attended the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors <br /> 33 meeting. The monthly luncheon meeting scheduled for July 16th <br /> 34 will discuss employer problems and has invited a guest speaker . <br /> 35 who is affiliated with an employer's association. ' <br /> 36 <br /> 37 The Mayor noted that the "Shop St. Anthony" campaign is slow in <br /> 38 starting . The St. Anthony Chamber of Commerce has donated $1 ,000 <br /> 39 for a start up fund. The City has also allocated some funding for <br /> 40 this program. The idea of "St. Anthony Dollars" which can be used <br /> 41 in stores or businesses in the City is being explored. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 The Chamber of Commerce is planning a golf tournament to be held <br /> 44 on Silver Lake in January or February . <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Mayor Ranallo noted -that August 6th has been designated as <br /> 47 "National Night Out". He requested the reporter from the Bulletin <br /> 48 to write an article publicizing this event and suggested that <br /> 49 Dave Urbia could also so some publicity . He noted that members of <br /> 50 the City Council- will attend any functions held in con3unction <br /> 5= with this event in the community . <br /> Mayor Ranallo has accepted the 'Cheirperson position on the League <br /> 54 of Minnesota Cities' Federal . Legislation Committee. <br />
