Burt, City Manager <br /> FROM: David Mark Urbia, Management Assistant <br /> ITEM: CONCEPT REVIEW--LAND USE FOR SOUTH END REDEVELOPMENT <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Planning Commission at its May 19th meeting recommended to the City Council to <br /> proceed with public improvements stated in Plan D, to acquire the sites where Rosie's Cafe <br /> and the Good Luck Cafe are located, and that there should be no implicit go ahead on the <br /> Unocal expansion. The remaining issue, addressing the land use, needs to be discussed. <br /> NEXT STEP <br /> The Planning Commission should address the land use issue,attempting to determine highest <br /> and best use, and provide recommendation to the City Council. <br />
