MEMORANDUM
DATE: July 30, 1992
TO: Metropolitan Council
FROM: City of St. Anthony
ITEM: Kenzie Terrace Comprehensive Land Use Plan Amendment
The proposed amendment is described as,follows:
1. Acquire Commercial Properties West of Kenzie Terrace: 2700 Coolidge Street N.E.
and 2906*Kenzie Terrace N.E..
2. Reconfigure 27th Avenue N.E. and Coolidge Street N.E. which would create a new
intersection at Kenzie Terrace.
3. Develop parcel north of the new intersection at,Kenzie Terrace as.two single family
lots.
4. Amend the City of St. Anthony Comprehensive Land Use Plan in the area north of
the new intersection at Kenzie Terrace from commercial to single family residential,
including a portion-of 2715 Coolidge Street to reflect the current use.
I have included minutes and reports from the South End Task Force, Planning Commission,
and City Council. The South End Task Force was a City Council appointed committee of
St. Anthony residents from all areas of the City. The South End Task Force was tasked with
providing input to the Planning Commission and City Council on development issues along
Kenzie Terrace. The proposed comprehensive plan land use amendment is a result of that
input and approval of the concept by both the Planning Commission and City Council.
