REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> JULY 14 , 1992 <br /> PAGE 9 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 developed whereby some residents are "pooling" their rubbish <br /> 7 so this ordinance contains exemptions which will address this . <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Motion by Enrooth, second by Marks to approve the first <br /> 10 reading of Ordinance No. 1992-006 which is. an ordinance <br /> ll requiring mixed municipal solid waste collection from all <br /> 12 residential and commercial properties within the boundaries of <br /> 13 the City of St . Anthony; Amending the 1973 Code of Ordinances <br /> 14 to add new Subsections 560 . 06, 560 . 07 and 560 . 08 . <br /> 15 <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 18 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 C. Manning' s Restaurant Lease <br /> 21 <br /> 22 The City Manager advised that the lease held by Mr. Manning <br /> 23 expires in November of this year. The City has bought the <br /> 24 equipment in the restaurant for a purchase price of $30, 000 . <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Mr. Eric Schuhmacher has contacted staff regarding taking over <br /> the operation. He has submitted a restfine of his restaurant <br /> experience and his formal education. He also submitted a draft <br /> 29 copy of sample menu selections he would consider offering to <br /> SC patrons . Mr. Schuhmacher has stated he would consider leasing <br /> the space with an option to buy, such option to include the <br /> _. equipment . <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Councilmember Enrooth, noting Mr. Schuhmacher' s impressive <br /> 35 credentials , inquired why there was so much interest on his <br /> 36 part in this location . The City Manager responded that he is <br /> 37 also interested in taking over the Wells operation and <br /> 38 eventually opening another business on his own . <br /> 39 <br /> 40 The Mayor felt this was a very attractive opportunity for Mr. <br /> 41 Schuhmacher as there need not be any captal investment by him. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Motion by Marks , second by Enrooth to authorize the City <br /> 44 Manager and the Liquor Operations Manager to negotiate a five <br /> 45 year lease with Mr. Schuhmacher for the Manning' s site. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 <br /> 48 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 49 <br /> 50 10 .
