I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> 2 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> 3 JUNE 18, 1996 <br /> 4 I. CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br /> 5 The meeting was called to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chair Bergstrom at <br /> 6 7:02 P.M. <br /> 7 H. ROLL CALL. <br /> 8 Commissioners present: Chair Bergstrom; Commissioners Delmonico, Franzese, <br /> 9 Gondorchin, Makowske, and Thompson. <br /> 10 Commissioners absent: Commissioner Horst. <br /> 11 Also present: Kim Moore-Sykes, Management Assistant. <br /> 12 III. APPROVAL OF JUNE 18, 1996 PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA. <br /> 13 Motion by Franzese, seconded by Delmonico,to approve the Planning Commission Agenda for <br /> 14 June 18, 1996 with the following changes: <br /> 15 Delete Item IV. Approval of May 20, 1996 Planning Commission Minutes. <br /> 16 Delete Item VII. B. Concept Review of Proposed Lot Split/Double Bungalow-Bauer. <br /> 17 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 18 V. DESIGNATE PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE TO JUNE 25, 1996 <br /> 19 COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> 20 Chair Bergstrom was appointed as the Planning Commission representative for the Tuesday, <br /> 21 June 25, 1996, City Council meeting. <br /> 22 VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 23 A. St. Anthony Unocal-76 <br /> 24 1. Conditional Use Permit <br /> 25 Chair Bergstrom opened the public hearing at 7:03 p.m. <br /> 26 Commissioner Makowske acknowledged that he felt this was an excellent prospect for <br /> 27 expansion. He would however, refrain from voting or conversation on the issue as in the course <br /> 28 of his business dealings he did receive direct financial benefit. <br /> 29 Kim Moore-Sykes, Management Assistant reported Roger Bona, owner of the Unocal 76 Service <br /> 30 Station, 2812 - 27th Avenue NE, is proposing to build an addition to his existing service station <br /> 31 so that he will be able to expand his auto repair business. The purpose of the addition is to <br /> 32 increase the number of repair bays. <br /> 33 The proposed expansion is 5,613 square feet, requiring an additional 19 parking spaces. Mr. <br /> 34 Bona is proposing to put 21 parking spaces on site and to construct 14 additional parking spaces <br />
