August 3rd, 1996 Francis and Rose Ann Grewe 2513 30th AVE NE St. Anthony Village, MN 55418 St. Anthony Village Planning Commission St. Anthony Village, MN 55418 Planning Commission members, We, Francis and Rose Ann Grewe, have lived at 2513 30th AVE NE, St. Anthony Village since 1955 (41 years). For all these years we have enjoyed the same view from our side kitchen window where we sit at the kitchen table and watch the outside activity. We have learned that our neighbors to the West, William and.Evelyn Hedberg, at 2509 30th AVE NE, have submitted a request for a building permit to build an attached double car garage in front of their existing detached single car garage. The new garage would be attached to the house so access to the garage in the winter could be.achieved without having to go outside. Building of this new garage would block the existing view we have from our kitchen window, this we do NOT want to have happen. We are asking the planning commission to NOT approve the building permit requested by our neighbors. We have approached our neighbors to try and reach and agreeable building plan which would allow them to achieve their goal of an attached double car garage and also preserve our view. We have suggested that the new double car garage be built in the location of the existing single car garage with the new garage moved towards the street just far enough to attach to the house. This modified plan would not obstruct our existing view, which we have so enjoyed over the years. We strongly feel that removal of this_view would reduce the.value of our home..We feel that altering the.plansJo.move the - . double car garage back far enough not to obstruct the view would give the . neighbors the garage.they seek, preserves our existing view the property value for both homes.
