CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING COD'IMISSION MINUTES <br /> • June 15 , 1982 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Judy Makowske , Chairman Pro Tem, <br /> at 7 : 30 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call: Zawislak, Makowske, Bjorklund, and Sopcinski . <br /> Absent: Jones , Bowerman , Peterson. <br /> Also present: Ron Berg, Administrative Assistant. <br /> The following was an addition to the minutes for the May 18th Commission <br /> meeting: <br /> Page 1 , para. 13 : Insert "was opened by Chairman Jones" at the end of <br /> the paragraph. <br /> Motion by Mr. Bjorklund and seconded by Mr. Zawislak to approve as <br /> amended the minutes for the Planning Commission meeting held May 18 , <br /> 1982 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Mr. Zawislak will represent the Commission at the next Council meeting , <br /> • June 22nd. <br /> Mr. Berg distributed a copy of the letter he had written to Craig <br /> Morris stating Mr. Morris ' non-compliance to his agreement to have his <br /> shop at 3909 Silver Lake Road lit only during business hours and said <br /> he had attached all pertinent. minute references to this letter. <br /> Mr. Peterson arrived at 7 : 34 P.M. <br /> At 7: 35 P.M. , the Chairman Pro Tem opened the public hearing, which <br /> had been rescheduled, on the Thompson variance request for a garage <br /> addition at 3302 Belden Drive. Mr. Berg confirmed that the notice of <br /> the hearing had been remailed to all affected property owners within <br /> 200 feet of the property .in question and the applicant had paid an <br /> additional fee of $15 to cover .the renotification costs . No one was <br /> present to report failure to receive the notice or to object to its <br /> contents. <br /> Orville and Phyllis Thompson were present to discuss the garage addition <br /> they propose to construct on the south side of their existing home and <br /> to give the reasons they believe justify the granting of a seven foot <br /> frontyard setback variance to the ordinance requirement for 30 foot <br /> frontyards which are .in alignment with other homes on the same street <br /> for the addition. <br /> • In the statement which accompanied his application for a variance , <br /> Mr. Thompson had cited the extraordinary circumstances he believes <br /> satisfy the conditions set by - City Ordinance for granting such vari- <br /> ances .
