P R O C L A M A T I O N <br /> AMERICANISM MONTH <br /> NOVEMBER, 1983 <br /> WHEREAS, it is appropriate that we remember the Americans who have <br /> served our country in World War I , World War II , the Korean Conflict, <br /> Vietnam, and most recently the Marines serving as peacekeepers in <br /> Lebanon; and <br /> WHEREAS , it is equally important to remember that as Americans we <br /> who are not in the armed forces can serve our country in other ways <br /> such as public service, individual action, and by promotion of a <br /> general patriotic attitude; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of St. Anthony wishes to <br /> recognize the - <br /> Falldin American Legion Poast and Auxiliary #555 <br /> Millam Magnuson/St. Anthony V.F .W. Post and <br /> Auxiliary #513 <br /> St. Anthony American Legion Post and Auxiliary #513 <br /> for their continuing efforts in promoting Americanism by remembering <br /> those who have given their lives for their country as well as those <br /> living veterans who have served their fellow Americans . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I , Robert Sundland, Mayor of St. Anthony, do hereby <br /> proclaim November, 1983, as AMERICANISM MONTH and urge all citizens <br /> to demonstrate patriotism and Americanism in whatever ways that they <br /> are able by remembering that we honor the dead by serving the living . <br /> Date Robert J.
