Agenda Item: Reports-4a Status : Informational <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: March 21, 1984 <br /> TO: David Childs , City Manager <br /> Department Heads <br /> FROM: Connie Kroeplin, Administrative Secretary <br /> SUBJECT: Staff Meeting Notes - March 20 , 1984 <br /> -------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> The meeting began at 9 : 40 A.M. Present were Lee Entner, Dave Childs , <br /> Ray Nelson, Connie Kroeplin, Carol Johnson and Larry Hamer. Don <br /> Hickerson was absent due to his attendance at the Spring Chief 's <br /> Institute. <br /> On March 19th the Public Works Department began reading, repairing <br /> and sealing residential water meters . The process. takes about two <br /> weeks to complete . Only two homeowners were affected by the water- <br /> main break, March 19th, at 31st Avenue and Edward Street. <br /> Those present were given a tour/demonstration of the exercise room. <br /> Several pieces of equipment, which had been built ty Public Works <br /> personnel, have already been placed in the room. - Larry Hamer is <br /> gathering information on the purchase of a universal gym and tread- <br /> mill. The money for these purchases will be allocated from the <br /> Police and Fire Funds . <br /> Sales in the gift and tobacco shops at the liquor warehouse have <br /> been steadily increasing. Ray Nelson explained some of the items <br /> for sale and told us the different tobacco blends sold are named <br /> after popular brands of liquor , such as Ancient Age. <br /> Dave Childs noted a squad car sustained some slight damage during <br /> the last weekend and will be repaired soon. Mr. Childs also listed <br /> some of the March 27th Council agenda items including: water and <br /> sewer rates ; CDBG Year X allocations ; the Gross Golf Course club- <br /> house; and a representative from Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. will <br /> present their findings on the water study. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 10 : 45 A.M. <br />. cjk <br />
