Agenda Item: Reports-4a Status : Informational MEMORANDUM DATE: March 21, 1984 TO: David Childs , City Manager Department Heads FROM: Connie Kroeplin, Administrative Secretary SUBJECT: Staff Meeting Notes - March 20 , 1984 -------------------------------------------------------------------- The meeting began at 9 : 40 A.M. Present were Lee Entner, Dave Childs , Ray Nelson, Connie Kroeplin, Carol Johnson and Larry Hamer. Don Hickerson was absent due to his attendance at the Spring Chief 's Institute. On March 19th the Public Works Department began reading, repairing and sealing residential water meters . The process. takes about two weeks to complete . Only two homeowners were affected by the water- main break, March 19th, at 31st Avenue and Edward Street. Those present were given a tour/demonstration of the exercise room. Several pieces of equipment, which had been built ty Public Works personnel, have already been placed in the room. - Larry Hamer is gathering information on the purchase of a universal gym and tread- mill. The money for these purchases will be allocated from the Police and Fire Funds . Sales in the gift and tobacco shops at the liquor warehouse have been steadily increasing. Ray Nelson explained some of the items for sale and told us the different tobacco blends sold are named after popular brands of liquor , such as Ancient Age. Dave Childs noted a squad car sustained some slight damage during the last weekend and will be repaired soon. Mr. Childs also listed some of the March 27th Council agenda items including: water and sewer rates ; CDBG Year X allocations ; the Gross Golf Course club- house; and a representative from Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. will present their findings on the water study.
