CITY OF ST. ANTHONY
NOTICE OF HEARING
•
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing by the
Planning Commission of the City of St. Anthony on Tuesday, August
16, 1988 at 7: 35 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
3301 Silver Lake Road (enter northeast corner) for the following
purposes:
To consider a request from Lang-Nelson for approval of a
revised Development Concept Plan and Detail Plan approval
under the P.U.D. (Planned Unit Development) section of the
City Zoning •Ordinance to allow construction of three
buildings of three stories each over underground parking on
the site currently occupied by the St. Anthony Village
Shopping Center, generally the 2500-2600 block of Kenzie
Terrace N.E. Said buildings will consist of two apartment
buildings, one with 48 units and one with 57 units to be for
seniors only and the third building to be 96 units of high
quality general rental. This proposal does not include any
plan for rental subsidies.
The following items are included in the proposal :
• *parking, 206 underground, 153 surface
*ponding for aesthetic and storm .drainage purposes
*mostly brick exterior, except balconies, etc.
*pitched rather than flat roof design
*all vehicle access will be from. Kenzie
*landscaping, vegetation, and bermed screening will be
provided.
This proposal differs from the previously approved plan generally
due to the split of the previously proposed 100 unit senior
building into two, smaller senior buildings. Also included is an
enlargement of the individual units by about 100 square feet each
and the inclusion of a small parcel of property associated with
the Town and Country Foods parcel to the east. The basic
development concept remains unchanged, but due to these minor
design adjustments, an amendment to the P.U.D. is required.
Anyone wishing to be heard with reference to the above matter
will be heard at said time and place. Questions regarding this
matter may be referred to the City Manager, 789-8881.
David M. Childs
City Manager
Publish: Bulletin, August 3 , 1988
•
