f <br /> 1 because the County assessor does all the assessing. for municipalities <br /> �2 in Ramsey County where many cities in Hennepin County have their own <br /> 3 assessors who can better justify the valuations they impose on that <br /> 4 city's properties. Mr. Childs pointed out that St. Anthony actually <br /> 5 hires the Hennepin County Assessors Office to do the City valuations. <br /> 6 Mayor Sundland said he had concluded from the absence of residents whose <br /> 7 properties would be affected that night that they must have felt fairly <br /> 8 comfortable that the Council would be protecting their interests the <br /> 9 best way they could. <br /> 10 County Assessors Complimented for Their Courteous. Informative Manner <br /> 11 at City Boards of Review <br /> 12 Councilmember Marks commented that he perceived -that residents came to <br /> 13 a Board of Review to seek information, fairness and action delivered in <br /> 14 a manner which was comfortable for them. He said he was convinced that <br /> 15 was exactly what they had gotten from the County Assessor at the April <br /> 16 11th Board of Review and all the previous hearings where, the County <br /> 17 Assessors had always shown a great deal of patience and courtesy towards <br /> 18 those residents who had come to any of those meetings to protest or get <br /> 19 further information about their valuations. <br /> 20. ADJOURNMENT <br /> 21 The Board of Review was adjourned at 6:45 P.M. for the Council Executive <br /> 22 Session held prior to the council Meeting at 7:30 P.M.
