Burt, City Manager <br /> ] TEM : PULL TAB DONATION FOR VILLAGEFEST <br /> The City accepted a- donation of $2,000 from VillageFest with the. <br /> understanding it may not qualify as a lawful expenditure according to <br /> the State Department of Gaming. Mr. Muenchow of the Sports Boosters <br /> requested a clarification, which is attached. <br /> It appears that only activities for children, physical well being and <br /> educational advancement would qualify. This means the City would be <br /> responsible for reimbursing the Sports Boosters on all funds which do <br /> not qualify. As you can see from the State's response, this may be a <br /> majority of the expense. <br /> Mr. Muenchow has informed me that the Boosters are ready to donate the <br /> remaining $2, 000. I would like direction from the Council on if you <br /> want to accept the donation, knowing that it may not qualify as a <br /> qualified expenditure. <br /> :cjk6.5.90 <br />
