Regular Council Meeting <br /> July 31 , 1990 <br /> page 11 <br /> • <br /> 1 garden spoilage and branches and brush which did not result <br /> 2 from storm damage. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 The City Manager advised that the chipping should be done by <br /> 5 the end of the week although some residents are still putting <br /> 6 branches on the curb. <br /> 7 <br /> R City crews are doing asphalt patching in preparation for the <br /> 9 sealcoat.ing project. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Presently, there are three firms lrcensed by the City to trim and <br /> 12 prune trees. These firms can also provide chipping services. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Councilmember Enrooth felt residents should be ticketed if they <br /> 1.5 continue to leave debris for pick up on the curbs. He thinks <br /> 16 some residnets have taken advantage of this situation. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Councilmember Enrooth inquired what the total costs were for <br /> 19 clean up after the storm. The City Manager responded that all <br /> 20 of -the costs .were not complete but he Will supply the Council <br /> 21 with the figure on costs. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 The City-Manager stated that many hours of employee overtime <br /> • 24 were logged in this clean up effort. It is difficult to obtain <br /> '25 any workers to continue to do overtime work as they are very <br /> 26 tired and the work is hot and dirty. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 All of the trees destroyed by the storm will not be replaced . <br /> 29 this year. The City Manager advised there will not be enough <br /> 30 time to complete this replanting before the planting season <br /> 31 ends. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 8. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 34 <br /> 35 A. Resolution No. 90-030; Regarding Community Development Block Grant <br /> 36 (CDBG) Program - Subrecipient Agreement <br /> 37 <br /> 38 The Hennepin County CDBG Program requires an agreement be signed between <br /> 39 the County and St. Anthony before the disbursement of any Year XVI funds. <br /> 40 The agreement is referred to as a Sub-recipient Agreement. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 The City of St. Anthony has been approved for $25,314 Year XVI CDBG <br /> 43 funds. The following activies will be funded: <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Recodification $15,000 <br /> 46 Rehab of Private Property $ 6,500 <br /> 47 Seniors Program $ 3,814 <br /> 48 <br /> 49 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve Resolution No. 90-030. <br /> 50 <br /> Motion carried unanimously <br />
