Appraiser <br /> 18 Busitzky <br /> 19 <br /> 20 2 . PURPOSE_ OF MEETING <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Mayor Ranallo explained that each year homes in one quadrant <br /> 23 of the City of St . Anthony is viewed by a Hennepin County <br /> 24 ,Appraiser. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 This year homes located in the quadrant west of Silver Lake <br /> )7 Road and north of 33rd Avenue were given on site reviewals . <br /> 29 The formula for determining the value of a home includes the <br /> 30 condition of the home, any improvements made to it , its <br /> 31 location and sales of comparable homes . <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Property owners can address their concerns and grievances <br /> 34 regarding the market value placed on their property. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 The Mayor noted this forum is to discuss market values not <br /> 37 taxes . <br /> 38 <br /> 39 3 . CONCERNED PROPERTY OWNER COMMENTS <br /> 40 <br /> 41 a. Carl and Shirley Marihart - 3101 Armour Terrace <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Mr. Marihart advised the Council he is presently <br /> 44 refinancing a portion of his mortgage. An appraisal of <br /> 45 his home was done recently and it is $2 , 000 less than the <br /> 46 market value placed on it by the Hennepin County <br /> 47 appraiser. He noted that the appraisal done by the <br /> 48 private appraiser had also considered comp.arables in the <br /> 49 area. <br /> 50 <br /> 51 The value placed on the home by Hennepin County was <br /> 52 $132 , 000 . The private appraiser placed the value at <br /> $130 , 000 . <br />
