Bruce Nedegaard, for XXXX Fordham Drive, Rezoning. <br /> 6 Commissioner Horst reported the Nedegaard Construction Company, Inc., has requested <br /> 7 rezoning of the area known as Village Commons from R-1 to R-2. Staff is <br /> 8 recommending approval of the rezoning. He indicated there was considerable discussion <br /> 9 by the Planning Commission and also the public. He reported the neighbors are opposed <br /> 10 to the rezoning due to increased traffic, invasion of privacy, concern for the children who <br /> 11 play on the street, and headlights shining into residents windows. After due consideration <br /> 12 and discussion, the Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend City Council <br /> 13 approve the rezoning with the attached conditions. <br /> 14 2. Bruce Nedegaard. for XXXX Fordham Drive. Subdivision of Property. <br /> 15 Commissioner Horst reported the Nedegaard Construction Company, Inc., is requesting <br /> 16 subdivision of the property known as Village Commons into three parcels which would <br /> 17 allow for the construction of six two family residential dwellings and two single family <br /> 18 dwellings. Staff has recommended approval of the subdivision as outlined in the <br /> drawing. At the meeting, Mr. Neumann,Nedegaard Construction, indicated the homes as <br /> platted will not require any variances. Horst reported the Planning Commission voted <br /> 21 unanimously to recommend City Council approve the plat as submitted. <br /> 22 3. Bruce Nedegaard. Request for Placement of a Moved House on a Single_ Family <br /> 23 Lot. <br /> 24 Commissioner Horst reported Bruce Nedegaard is proposing to move a single story house <br /> 25 to Lot 16 of the Village Commons replat. Since there will be no variances required, the <br /> 26 Planning Commission did not rule on this item. <br /> 27 Mr. Bruce Nedegaard,Nedegaard Construction, Inc., indicated he is proposing the <br /> 28 installation of a private road to be used in this development which would include six <br /> 29 double units and two single family homes. One single family home will be the <br /> 30 Schroeder's and the other will be the new home he is moving. He reported along the <br /> 31 railroad track by Evergreen, there is an 18 inch storm drain which extends approximately <br /> 32 half the distance of the road and into a manhole which leads to a six foot culvert under the <br /> 33 railroad track. There will also be a retention pond for overflow. This will be a mowed <br /> 34 area. <br /> 35 Commissioner Horst indicated the permit had been submitted to the Rice Creek <br /> 36 Watershed District and had been approved with the exception of one minor detail. <br /> Mr. Bob Rapp, 3924 Fordham Drive, presented a petition signed by all the residents of <br /> 38 Fordham stating they were firmly united in opposing construction of a private drive <br />
