CHRISTOPHER J. MELSHA
• 3537 Coolidge Street NE•St. Anthony,MN 55418
H: (612)789-3593 •W:(651)2654229
April 14, 1999
Mr. Michael Mornson
City of St. Anthony
3301 Silver Lake Road
St. Anthony, MN 55418
Re: Planning Commission Seat
Dear Mr. Mornson:
I am interested in applying for the vacant St. Anthony Planning Commission seat. I have
enclosed a copy of my resume for your review.
By way of background, I am an attorney at Doherty, Rumble & Butler, the Twin Cities' oldest
law.firm. I graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1996 and did my under-graduate
work at St. John's University in Collegeville. Although in the last two and one-half years I have
. practiced general commercial litigation, my practice has recently began shifting to
corporate/transactional work. I believe my professional background would be an asset to the
commission.
By way of personal background, my wife Tara and I have been St. Anthony homeowners since
February 1996.. It did not take long to for either of us to grow to love the area; we both look
forward to raising a family in the Village. Accordingly, I feel I have a tremendous stake in this
community and am eager to devote my time and energy into maintaining St. Anthony as a
wonderful place in which to live. I would therefore welcome the opportunity to serve on the
planning commission.
If you wish to further discuss my interest in or qualifications for the open planning commission
seat, please feel free to call me at either of the above numbers. Thank you for your
consideration.
Very truly yours,
Ilk
Christop J. Melsha
