I attended School District 282 from elementary <br /> and graduated in 1991. I have a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Design and Maintenance with emphases in <br /> Horticulture, Geography, and Fir Arts. I am currently working for the Turf Project within the University of <br /> Minnesota at the St. Paul campus. <br /> My father wasa 15-year volunteer fire fighter for the city of St. Anthony, and my neighbor worked in <br /> public works for the city of St. Anthony. I have seen both the public works buildings and the fire department <br /> building. I know and understand that both building are very old and have problems. As a worker for the Turf <br /> Project we use a great variety of machines for grooming and care of plots and research areas at St. Paul. I <br /> realize the need for a clean, and safe working environment in order to maintain and keep equipment and <br /> vehicles in good safe working condition. I would like to work with other task members to try and create a <br /> solution to our deteriorating public works and firehouse buildings. I believe we need to balance both the needs <br /> of the workers and their safety as well as balancing budgets and being cost efficient. This will be a large task <br /> and I would be honored to be a part of it. I believe that I can bring a younger perspective to this task force while <br /> listing to our city workers and task force members. Great ideas and solutions can be found when working with <br /> others when looking at and solving tasks.
