Resolution 02-055, re: Consider purchase of 4029 Shamrock Drive. Todd Hubmer, WSB <br /> 16 & Associates. Inc., will be present. <br /> 17 City Manager Mike Morrison indicated that they have received an appraisal on the <br /> 18 property at 4029 Shamrock Drive by Forsythe Appraisals, Inc. in the amount of <br /> 19 $250,000, which the homeowners have accepted. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Councilmember Thuesen thanked the homeowners for their cooperation. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Motion by Councilmember Faust, second by Councilmember Thuesen, to adopt <br /> 24 Resolution 02-055, re: Considering purchase of 4029 Shamrock Drive. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 VIII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBERS. <br /> 29 City Manager Mike Morrison provided his report for the Council: <br /> 30 • Painting is completed on signal intersection. City received several compliments. <br /> 31 • The City is receiving applicants for the Fire/Public Works Task Force. The deadline is <br /> 32 August 5, 2002 and the first meeting will be held September 3, 2002. <br /> 33 • Construction 70 will probably present a preliminary development agreement to Council <br /> 34 on September 10, 2002 relating to the Stonehouse property. <br /> 35 • The Joint City/School District meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at 6:00 <br /> 36 p.m. <br /> 37 • The Council Work Session on Monday, August 5, 2002 will start at 7:00 p.m. <br /> 38 Discussion will be on: <br /> 39 • Financial strategies with Jim Prosser(Ehlers and Associates last meeting with Council). <br /> 40 • Presentation of the 2003 City budget. <br /> 41 • Application for a Livable Community grant in the amount of approximately$4million <br /> 42 has been submitted to the Metropolitan Council. A resolution will be presented to the <br /> 43 Council in August. <br /> 44 • Northwest Youth &Family Services will be present a report on August 26, 2002. <br /> 45 • Planning meetings for the Salvation Army site are scheduled for every 2 weeks. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Councilmember Horst had no report this evening. <br />
