PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> None. <br /> VI. REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONS AND STAFF. <br /> None. <br /> VII. GENERAL POLICY BUSINESS OF THE COUNCIL. <br /> A. Resolution 02-059, re: Application for Livable Communities Demonstration Program. <br /> City Manager Mike Mornson reviewed the resolution with the Council. <br /> Mornson indicated that they were applying for 3.2 million dollars under the Livable <br /> Communities project for the Apache Plaza redevelopment project. He added that they <br /> were applying for 1.8 million dollars for sanitary sewer improvements for the project, as <br /> well as an abatement grant for which the Metropolitan Council has funding. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Sparks, second by Councilmember Faust, to adopt Resolution <br /> 02-059, re: Application for Livable Communities Demonstration Program. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> B. Resolution 02-062 re: Establishing a Public Works/Fire Facility Task Fore and <br /> appointment of members. <br /> City Manager Michael Mornson reviewed the resolution with the Council. <br /> Mayor Hodson indicated that they had a significant number of interested residents in <br /> joining the task force. <br /> Mornson indicated that there are 18 members on the on the Task Force and that they are <br /> from varied areas of the community including the Chamber of Commerce, the School <br /> District, and new residents. <br />
