ANTHONY 2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING 3 JULY 27, 2004 4 5 CALL TO ORDER 6 Mayor Hodson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 8 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 Mayor Hodson invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 10 11 ROLL CALL. 12 Present: Mayor Hodson; Councilmembers Thuesen, Horst, Stille, and Faust. 13 Absent: None. 14 Also Present: City Manager Mike Mornson and.City Attorney Jerome Gilligan. 15 16 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION,AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 17 ITEMS. 18 19 I. APPROVAL OF JULY 13, 2004 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 20 Motion by Councilmember Faust, seconded by Councilmember Horst, to Approve the City 21 Council Meeting Agenda of July 27, 2004 striking item VI, E, due to the LGA Issues Being 22 Resloved. 23 24 Motion carried unanimously. 25 26 H. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 27 A. Proclamation Declaring August 3, 2004, as National Night Out. 28 The St. Anthony City Council proclaimed Tuesday, August 3, 2004, as the"21St Annual National 29 Night Out." Councilmember Stille read the proclamation. 30 31 Motion by Councilmember Faust, seconded by Councilmember Horst Declaring Tuesday, August 32 3, 2004 as National Night Out in St. Anthony. 33 34 Discussion: 35 36 Mayor Hodson stated that it is very encouraging to see the level of"excellent participation" 37 within the community, noting that eighteen block parties are scheduled to take place. 38 39 City Manager Mornson added that ten additional block parties are pending, noting that he would 40 provide Council with an updated list. 41 42 Motion carried unanimously, 43 44 III. CONSENT AGENDA. 45 A. Approve Julv 13, 2004 regular Council meeting minutes. 46 B. Consider licenses and permits. 47 C. Consider payment of claims. 48 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to Approve the 49 Consent Agenda.
