CITY OF ST. ANTHONY • SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES January 25 , 1983 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Sundland at 7 :00 P.M. Present for roll call : Enrooth, Letourneau, Sundland , Ranallo and Marks . Also present: Larry Hamer, Public Works Director as Acting. Manager; Richard Krier, H.R.A. Planning Consultant; and William Soth , City Attorney , who was present for the H.R.A. discussions. Tom Lindskog , 3315 Skycroft Drive was interviewed for the position which is open on the Chemical Use/Abuse Information Committee. He told the Council he had been a resident of the City for the past thirteen years and up until the last year , when he and his wife co- chaired -the Middle School PTSA, - had participated in many of the Nativity Lutheran Church activities . Because he has three children in the St. Anthony school system, Mr. Lindskog believes service on this committee would keep him informed regarding any drug problems in the schools and he is familiar with the workings of the committee through his association with two former members who are moving away . However, Mr. Lindskog assured the Council he would keep an open mind on how the Committee should be run. The Mayor indicated he was concerned that one of the candidates for the Planning Commission had been told he would be appointed to this Committee , if not to the Commission, even though he had been assured that such was not the case by the other Council members . Councilman Marks indicated he was very impressed with Mr. Lindskog ' s areas of involvement in the community and opted for making the selection that evening. Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to appoint Tom Lindskog to represent the Council on the St. Anthony Chemical Use/Abuse Information Committee . Voting on the motion: Aye : Marks , Enrooth, Ranallo, and Letourneau. Nay: . Sundland. Motion carried. Mr. Krier indicated the City Manager had requested he appear before the Council to advise them as members of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority as to the proper procedures for conducting February 8th the interviews of the two firms who had submitted proposals for the Kenzie • Terrace Redevelopment. Project.. The Planning Consultant indicated he would be reviewing the proposals from the two firms , the Knutson Co- =mna,py and Kraus Anderson, the next two weeks and would meet with the the Friday before the interviews to give an evaluation of the
