101 The Acting City Manager reported a request from Dwayne Hodges who is <br /> 2 moving into the home at 2815 Coolidge Street to keep three large dogs <br /> 3 on his property where the' City Ordinance only allows two. She indicated <br /> 4 the back yard is fenced and the dogs are considered by their owner to <br /> 5 be "inside dogs" . It was agreed that the reaction of the neighbors <br /> 6 should be sought by staff letter before the request is considered by the <br /> 7 Council . <br /> 8 District #282 School Survey Approved <br /> 9 Ms. VanderHeyden reiterated that although the District #282 School Board <br /> 10 has approved the community survey, the company who will conduct the <br /> 11 survey has not been hired yet. <br /> 12 Hamer Thanked for Work on Wilshire Playground Project <br /> 13 The copy of the appreciation certificate in the agenda packet thanking <br /> 14 ' the City for "generous donation of labor" on the project was presented <br /> 15 to Mr. Hamer the previous week. <br /> 16 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 17 1988 Uncollectible Checks to -be Written Off <br /> 18 Motion by Ranallo, .seconded by Marks to approve the write off of <br /> 19 $2 , 355.81 in 1988 uncollectible checks, noting that this was the least <br /> �0 amount of checks which could not be collected by the City liquor stores <br /> i since 1982. It was also noted that the check cashing 'service was a very <br /> 22 profitable one for the City. <br /> 23 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 24 *1990 Tax Levy and Budget Resolution Adopted <br /> 25 Resolution 89-025, certifying the proposed tax levy and 1990 City budget <br /> 26 in compliance with the Truth in Taxation Act was passed unanimously. <br /> 27 However in the interim the State Legislature has passed, a new tax bill <br /> 28 establishing a new date for certifying City budgets and for holding <br /> 29 public hearings. Therefore, Resolution 89-025 will not be in effect. <br /> 30 Parkview Building Repairs <br /> 31 The September 21st memorandum from the Public Works Director was the <br /> 32 basis for the following motion. Councilmember Enrooth commented that <br /> 33 the project Mr. Hamer was recommending was intended to just get the <br /> 34 building through the winter and would cost much less than repairing the <br /> 35 entire roof. <br /> 36 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Marks to accept the lowest bid of <br /> 37 $4,250.00 from Air Conditioning Association, Inc. for a new roof top <br /> 5 <br />
