• <br /> Subd. 2. Obstructing Signs. Any sign that obstructs any part of a doorway or <br /> fire escape. . <br /> Subd. 3. Exterior Signs: Signs, including those intended for viewing only <br /> from the interior of a building but which can reasonably be viewed from <br /> exterior of the building, which by reason of position, shape, wording, color, or <br /> any other characteristic_would interfere with the proper function of a traffic <br /> sign or signal, or otherwise constitute a traffic or safety hazard. <br /> Subd. 4. Signs within the Public Right-of-way or Public Easement. <br /> Subd. 5. Searchlights Flags or Whirling Devices. <br /> Subd. 6. Signs on Glass Doors. Signs on glass doors which total sign surface <br /> area exceed 20% of the glass area of the door. The sign surface area of <br /> nameplates and address identifications and pedestrian directives such as <br /> "pull", "push", "entrance", "exit", "use other door", "caution", and other <br /> instructions shall be included with the sign surface area of all other signs on a <br /> glass door for the purpose of determining the total sign surface area of such <br /> door. <br /> Subd. 7. Signs Near Lots. _Signs other than wall signs which have any surface <br /> area or structural member closer than 10 feet to a side lot line. <br /> Subd. 8. Signs Near ProQer , Lines. Signs which project beyond the property <br /> line of-the-property upon-which-the sign_is_locat___. <br /> Subd. 9. Signs Near Roofs. Signs projecting more than 5 feet above the roof <br /> line of the structure to which it is affixed. <br /> Subd. 10. Advertising.Signs. Signs intended to be for the purpose of <br /> advertising in R-1, R-2 and multiple dwelling zoned areas, including those <br /> intended for viewing only from the interior of a building but which can <br /> reasonably be viewed from the exterior of the building. <br /> Subd. 11. Signs on Walls. Wall signs having a sign surface area exceeding <br /> 15% of the area of the wall surface to which it is affixed. <br /> Subd. 12. Projecting Signs. <br /> Subd. 13. Flat Signs. Signs constructed so that the message or <br /> communication is not flat against the sign structure. <br /> 14-6 <br />
