City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> November 26, 1996 <br /> Page 13 <br /> I Mr. Allen stated his company provides software that is stable with quarterly updates <br /> 2 provided on CD Rom. RDS has been in operation in Minnesota since 1979. They have <br /> 3 23 offices with headquarters in Omaha,Nebraska. The company is employee owned with <br /> 4 a total of 350 employees, 40 of which are based in the Minneapolis office. <br /> 5 Marks asked if TRS provided updates on CD Rom. Mr. Anderson s tated their updates are <br /> 6 not provided quarterly but are provided via modem. <br /> 7 Mr. Larson stated both companies offer updates via modem but TRS charges $.75 per <br /> 8 minute for their updates. <br /> 9 Mr. Larson stated this has been a difficult decision. He would never suggest that the City <br /> '10 spend more money than necessary. He stated he felt however, that for the best future for <br /> I I St. Anthony Liquor Operations,the bid from RDS should be accepted. <br /> 12 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to table consideration of Resolution 96-064 to the <br /> 13 December 4, 1996 City Council meeting for ftuther evaluation and consultation with City <br /> 14 Attorney. <br /> 15 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 16 Momson noted Staff continues negotiations with First Bank for the SAV Il Liquor Store. <br /> 17 It is hoped this will be resolved by the end of 1996. <br /> 18 Mr. Larson reported food operations at the Stonehouse will begin on December 2, 1996 at <br /> 19 11:00 A.M. Food will be served from 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. Monday through <br /> 20 Saturday. Currently there are two cooks on staff and he is in the process of hiring a third <br /> 21 co ok. Three food service people have been placed in addition to the staff at the <br /> 22 Stonehouse. Mr. Larson stated he and staff are anxious to begin. <br /> 23 Faust asked if any advertising was being done. <br /> 24 Mr. Larson stated in December the Stonehouse is featuring the"Lucy Burger". He stated <br /> 25 he felt some time was needed to iron out any problems and did not anticipate any <br /> 26 promotions until the Valentine weekend. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 IX.
