Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes November 19, 1996 Page 6 Chair Bergstrom stated he had envisioned the task force to be a group of people with 2 diversified vested interests in the City of St. Anthony. 3 Commissioner Gondorchin stated he would like to see the church community 4 represented. He was in favor of sending a communication to all of the churches and 5 asking them to feel free to contact the task force or to submit their opinions to the task 6 force. This would give the church communities the chance to be involved. 7 Chair Bergstrom stated he felt the same should be done for the Service Organization 8 Representative. 9 Commissioner Makowske stated he felt the task force should have representatives who 10 would bring information in as well as bring information back out to civic organizations, churches and schools. 12 Chair Bergstrom stated he supported the idea of identifying the churches in the 13 community and sending them copies of information and inviting them to meetings. He 14 felt this may even be a good method for addressing the Multi-Family/Housing Complex 15 Representative. 16 Commissioner Makowske asked if the aging community and younger families were being 17 addressed as part of the task force. 18 Commissioner Franzese stated she felt the School Representative was representing the 19 young families. Ms. Moore-Sykes noted that Community Services has a Senior Program. 20 She suggested Chair Bergstrom contact the Coordinator, Sally Cain at 781-5021. 21 Commissioner Franzese suggested a form letter be developed to be sent to the Chamber 22 of Commerce to request a representative be sent from the industry and retail area. 23 Chair Bergstrom suggested the voting members of the task force include Planning 24 Commission members, City Council members, 1 member of the Chamber of Commerce, 25 1 School Board member or school representative, a Realtor and two at-large members of 26 -the community. 27 Commissioners Franzese, Delmonico, Makowske and Bergstrom stated they were all 28 interested in serving on the task force. 29 IX. ADJOURNMENT. 30 Motion by Makowske, seconded by Bergstrom,to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 P.M. 31 Commissioner Franzese suggested that Agenda Item VII.A. be discussed even though no 32 representative had appeared at the meeting.
