Extant and proposed distances of the structure from the residence structure on <br /> the property and from structures on adjoining and adjacent properties <br /> maximize fire safety. Its detached location and the proposed construction to <br /> contemporary standards and codes will further enhance fire safety. <br /> The proposed structure will not conflict with the garage on the adjoining <br /> property. The garage on the adjoining property is attached and at the front of <br /> the residence. Other garages on adjacent properties are accessed in a manner <br /> such as to also be free of conflict. The parallel location of the proposed <br /> structure to the back property line/alley is in keeping with the general <br /> garage orientation on several of the properties in the immediate <br /> neighborhood and will, therefore, maintain the current tone and esthetics of <br /> the area. <br /> A reorientation or repositioning of the proposed replacement garage on the <br /> property would seriously compromise and/or demolish extensive landscaping, <br /> disrupt an inground sprinkler system, destroy the esthetics of the property as <br /> a whole, and, in all likelihood, seriously diminish the value of the property. <br /> Other locations on the property have been considered and have been found <br /> untenable. <br /> In your consideration of this application, it is requested that it constantly be <br /> borne in mind that the proposed structure is a replacement and its <br /> construction will. effect no material change on the status quo, except to have <br /> in place a building that is esthetically correct, structurally sound, and built in <br /> keeping with contemporary standards. <br /> Your consideration of this application is appreciated. <br /> Sincerely yours, <br /> Preston P.
