The <br /> parcel is currently zoned industrial. We are requesting that this zoning be <br /> changed to R-4, a multiple family district. <br /> This parcel is an anomoly in that a portion of it lies in Hennepin County and a <br /> portion in Ramsey County indicating that it falls under the jurisdiction of the <br /> City of St. Anthony Village and the City of Roseville. The portion in St. Anthony <br /> is the smaller portion, with a boundary of 135 square feet to the west, 86 square <br /> feet to the north, 125 square feet to the east, and 138 square feet to the south. The <br /> full parcel is substantially larger. <br /> Mendota Homes, Inc. is proposing a 30 unit apartment building for this site to be <br /> designated for senior rental. The building itself is a three-story brick and siding <br /> clad structure. The exterior fagade is highlighted by placement of screen- <br /> enclosed decks along the front and rear of the building. The main entrace is <br /> easily visible in the center of the structure. <br /> The building will have underground parking for 30 cars in addition to a surface <br /> parking lot with 30 resident spaces and room for guest parking. There will be a <br /> centrally located elevator, three stairtowers situated throughout the building, <br /> sprinkled halls,corridors, garage, and apartment units,wide hallways, recessed, <br /> individual apartment entries, community room, and exercise room.. <br /> Additionally, individual apartments will feature self-contained heating and <br /> cooling units, fireplaces, screen porches, and some vaulted ceilings.
