bedrooms, microwave hoodfans, and handicapped accessible bathrooms. This
building is meant to appeal to senior residents already living in this or close-by
communities.
The portion this parcel that lies in the City of St. Anthony Village would actually
become part of the parking lot for this building. This parking lot is currently
designed to hold 42 parking spaces. This amount may be reduced to allow for
more green space.
Rezoning of this parcel makes sense for several reasons. First and foremost, the
parcel is surrounded by residential property. Maintaining its industrial zoning
would not allow for its.best use as a higher density, multiple family residential
parcel. A small industrial area surrounded by homes is not functional and not
attractive to surrounding residents. Also, the portion of this parcel located in the
City of St. Anthony Village seems too small to be used on its own, especially with
an industrial zoning. As it is already part of another parcel, it is logical to make
the zoning change and utilize the land for multiple-family residential use. There
is no industrial property adjacent to the property in question, and we feel it is a
responsible and functional, decision to change the zoning. This allows for a .
better use that is consistent with the surrounding property.
Please review the proposal and get back to us with any questions or suggestions.
Sincerely
qu'" '
Erin E.
