City Council Regular Meeting Minutes November 25, 1997 • Page 8 1 Motion by Marks, second by Faust to appoint George Wagner as an at-large-member of the 2 Parks Task Force starting January 1, 1998 3 Mayor Ranallo asked if Wagner had discussed this with the Task Force. 4 Marks stated that it was mentioned at the meeting last evening and it seemed to be well 5 received. 6 Voting on the motion: Ranallo, Faust and Marks voted aye. Wagner abstained. 7 Motion carried. 8 C. Mayor. 9 Mayor Ranallo noted that the Council has hosted a.yearly Employee Appreciation Breakfast 10 for the last 4-5 years. It has been brought to his attention that the employees would prefer a 11 luncheon. Ranallo suggested this be held on Thursday, December 18 at 12:00 P.M. 12 There was Council consensus to schedule the Employee Appreciation Luncheon for Thursday, 13 December 18 at 12:00 P.M. 14 D. City Manager. 6 Acting City Manager Moore-Sykes reported that the new SAV II Liquor Store is open and is 17 doing very well. 18 VIII. PUBLIC HEARINGS - None. 19 IX. NEW BUSINESS. 20 A. Resolution 97-053, re: City Manager's 1998 Salary. 21 Mayor Ranallo reported that each year the City Manager's salary is reviewed. The City and 22 the City Manager have reached an agreement as stated in Resolution 97-053. 23 24 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve Resolution 97-053, approving 1998 salary of 25 Michael J. Morrison, St. Anthony City Manager. 26 Motion carried unanimously. 27 X. UNFINISHED BUSINESS. 28 There was Council consensus that the Finnish flag be flown on December 6 and that a copy 29 of the Proclamation be displayed on the front door, in honor of their independence day. 30 XI. ADJOURNMENT. 31 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 P.M. •2 Motion carried unanimously.
