City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> April 13, 1999 <br /> Page 9 <br /> Motion by Marks, second by Faust to approve Resolution 99-028, regarding the Minnesota <br /> Department of Natural Resources Flood Mitigation. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> C. Resolution 99-029,re: Iriflow/Infiltration Grant Agreement with Metropolitan Council <br /> (WSB, Inca <br /> Mr. Hubmer stated that the City was awarded a loan from the Metropolitan Council to help <br /> eliminate inflow/infiltration,but the City decided to rescind the loan and apply for a grant for an <br /> infiltration study which will assist in the implementation of an improvement plan. <br /> Mornson asked for clarification with regard to completion of Silver Point Park and Central Park <br /> construction projects as well as the 1999 street reconstruction project. Mr. Hubmer stated that <br /> grading in both parks will be completed by the end of next week, and seeding and sodding will <br /> commence mid-May. He added he anticipates trail construction to commence mid-May or early <br /> June. <br /> Mr. Hubmer stated the 1999 street reconstruction project will commence Monday April 19, 1999 <br /> and be completed by the end of July. <br /> Motion by Marks, second by Thuesen to approve Resolution 99-029, approving the <br /> Inflow/Infiltration Control Program Grant Agreement between the City of St. Anthony and the <br /> Metropolitan Council. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> D. Resolution 99-030, re: Award bid for Central Park Water Tower pla rXg ound <br /> improvements (DRW, Inc.) <br /> Ranallo welcomed Augie Wong, BRW, Inc., and invited him to address the Council. Mr. Wong <br /> stated bids had been received for the Central Park Water Tower play area project, and the low <br /> bidder was Arigoni Brothers at$265;662.00. He added that after checking references, this firm <br /> was found to be competent and reliable, and he recommended that the Council award the bid to <br /> Arigoni Brothers. <br /> Cavanaugh asked whether-playground equipment was included in the bid. Mr. Wong confirmed <br /> that the bid includes an allowance of$100,000 for equipment. He stated that the contractor will <br /> have 5 vendors supply designs.for selection and approval by the Parks Commission by the end of <br /> April. <br /> Motion by Marks, second by Thuesen to approve Resolution 99-030, awarding the bid for <br /> Central Park Water Tower playground improvements. <br />
