Mr. Hartman restated it was designed.for and graded to act as a retention area and.trying to make it a rink is a stretch., He assured the Commission that it will work better next year. Zurbey asked if the contractor should pay for the regrading. Mr. Hartman stated he will research that issue. VIII. REPOR'T'S. A. Community Services. Skrivseth stated they will be meeting this Thursday, February 1,2001. B. School Board. No report was received. C. Snorts Boosters. Jindra noted the information from the Sports Boosters and advised they gave$3,000 for the drinking fountain and there may be more funding to come. Zurbey advised that charitable gambling is down but they just started a new raffle. Jindra suggested a formal letter be drafted to.requesf funding from the Lions.`Zurbey stated he would like to first meet with them to discuss these ideas. He stated he will call to request'a meeting date. IX. OTHER BUSINESS. Mr. Hartman reported that the Council has changed their schedule to include one regular meeting and one work session per month. Jindra reported on her attendance at the recent Council retreat and discussion held on goals. She advised she asked about inviting a Police Officer to discuss park patrolling and asked for the Commissioners to provide additional ideas. . Ganley reported on the Northwest Quadrant meeting he attended and reported the group will next get input from developers. He advised that the Salvation Army property should be considered as ' open' for now and a community-wide discussion will be held. Jindra stated at the Council retreat, a letter was distributed from Hennepin County Parks indicating they had made a market value offer. X. ADJOURNMENT.
