Planning Commission Meeting Minutes March 16, 2004 Page 7 1 Chair Stromgren expressed concerns stating that if the repair business increases they would have 2 to reapply for a more stringent Conditional Use Permit. City Manager Morrison agreed noting 3 that the residents of the area would monitor the business. 4 5 Motion by Commissioner Tillman, seconded by Commissioner Gray,to recommend, to City 6 Council, the approval of a conditional use permit and the following conditions of subdivision: 7 Hours of Operation: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Weekdays; 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Weekends; 72 8 hour storage limit for no more than 2 vehicles; dumpster; landscaping and storage plans - 9 submitted to staff with the landscaping to be consistent with area; Reviewed and approved by 10 both the City Attorney and the City Engineer. 11 12 Motion carried unanimously. 13 14 Chair Stromgren stated that City Council would consider this request at their March 23, 2004 15 Regular meeting. INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION. 27 28 City Manager Morrison reviewed the recommended planning related work/training sessions with 29 the new Commissioners. He highly recommended that they plan to attend the Basics Course 30 scheduled for May 6h or June 19`h noting that they would be full day work sessions. He 31 suggested that they review their schedules and email Connie with the dates. He noted that 32 another good course to attend would be the `Role of the Planning Commissioner' and 33 recommended that they attend. He stated that the class is pre-paid in advance and encouraged 34 them to contact Connie, via email, with available dates. 35 36 City Manager Morrison noted that due to the Joint City Council\Planning Commission session 37 next month there would not be any public hearings at the next session. He stated that they might 38 have a couple of concept reviews that evening but no Public Hearings. 39 40 City Manager Morrison reminded everyone about the Bulldozer Bash scheduled for this Saturday, 41 March 20, 2004. He stated that it is amazing the amount of statewide media attention this event 42 is receiving noting that two to three television stations plus the Startnbune would be covering the 43 event.
