• CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br /> February 19, 1994 <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ranallo at 9:35 A.M.. <br /> II. ROLL CALL. <br /> Councilmembers present: Ranallo, Enrooth, Fleming, and Wagner. <br /> Councilmember absent: Marks. <br /> Also present: City Manager Thomas Burt. <br /> Mayor Ranallo expressed his concern that all the Councilmembers were not present. <br /> He stressed the importance of all five members being present due to the important <br /> decisions which will need to be made within the next few months; i.e., hiring a <br /> new City Manager, disposition of the Parkview building, Apache Plaza <br /> redevelopment and so forth. <br /> • Councilmember Fleming inquired if a new citizens committee she has been working <br /> on could be added to the agenda. After some discussion, Councilmember Fleming <br /> indicated the group will give a presentation at the next Council meeting. <br /> Motion by Wagner, seconded by Enrooth to approve the agenda for the special <br /> Council meeting of February 19, 1994. <br /> Motion carried unanimously, <br /> III. GOAL SETTING WEEKEND. <br /> Cancellation of the scheduled goal setting weekend was considered due to <br /> the resignation of City Manager Burt. The Council was informed that the <br /> cancellation fee would be $500 and that the goal setting session could be <br /> delayed three months. It would cost $600 to cancel the facilitator. Mr. Burt <br /> mentioned that this figure could possibly be negotiated down. The toal cost <br /> to cancel would be $1 ,100. The weekend bill is $3,200. The Liquor <br /> Manager had suggested as a promotion to give away a weekend at the <br /> Radisson, if the goal setting weekend is cancelled. <br /> • Councilmember Wagner is in favor of having the weekend as planned, basing <br /> this on the fact that they could establish this year's goals for the new City <br /> Manager at that time. <br />
