-3- Motion by --Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to approve the second reading of Ordinance 1979-009 . • ORDINANCE 1979-009 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO COMMERCIAL PARKING LOTS AND SIT-DOWN RESTAURANTS, AMENDING SECTION 2, SUBDIVISION 2 , AND SECTION 12 , SUBDIVISION 9 , OF THE ST. ANTHONY ZONING ORDINANCE. Motion carried unanimously. Action on the ordinance which will provide a new fire code as proposed by Fire Marshal Slanga was deferred- to give the City Attorney more time to codify the ordinance. Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Sundland to table action on Ordinance 1980-001 until the January 22 Council meeting. ORDINANCE 1980-001 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION; ADOPTING THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE BY RE- FERENCE; AMENDING .THE ST. ANTHONY ORDI- NANCE CODE BY ADDING NEW SECTIONS; RE- PEALING ST. ANTHONY ORDINANCE CODE SEC- TIONS 32C , 321,340, and 420, INCLUSIVE. • Motion carried unanimously. Carol Johnson was thanked for her .informative breakdown and explana- tion of the year-end budget transfers. Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to approve Resolution 79-088 . RESOLUTION 79-088 A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE 1979 BUDGET Motion carried unanimously. The excellent coverage provided the City in :the New Brighton Bulletin was included in the commendation expressed to the Bulletin reporter, Diane O'Brien. Mr. Soth confirmed that only bonding lawyers seemed to be concerned with the vague requirements of the legislation for publishing "in a paper of general circulation" such as the Star-Tribune or Pioneer Press. Motion by Councilman 'Ranallo -and seconded by Councilman Marks to adopt the resolution which designates the St.. Anthony edition of the Bulletin as the City' s .legal newspaper for 1980.
