-2- <br /> Mr. Fornell confirmed that -there -is about $30 ,000 in unexpended <br /> funds which can be transferred to other projects. <br /> • Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Ranallo <br /> to follow the recommendations of the Planning Commission that theme <br /> Year VI Community Development Block Grant funding be targeted as <br /> follows: <br /> a) Sixty percent ($27 , 500) be dedicated to a residential <br /> family rehabilitation program with the average rehabili- <br /> tation expenditure not to exceed $5 ,000, which would <br /> provide rehabilitation for six structures with the em- <br /> phasis to be placed on the rehabilitation of residences <br /> owned by senior citizens -- the adjusted income level <br /> for qualifying initially to be set at $7 ,500, which <br /> level could be adjusted upwards depending on the response. <br /> b) Thirty percent ($13,000) be reserved for the proposed <br /> Kenzie Terrace senior housing project for whatever pur- <br /> pose is deemed appropriate and necessary. <br /> c) Ten percent ($4 ,500) to cover local administrative <br /> costs. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Bjorklund concluded his presentation by telling the Council the <br /> Commission hopes two replacements on that body will be named before <br /> • the Commission' s January 15 meeting. <br /> The minutes for the January 2 meeting of the Cable .T.V. Advisory <br /> Committee were presented by Mr. Berg who said he will continue to <br /> attempt to ascertain whether Ken Hiebel is still interested in <br /> serving -on the Committee. He will also send the proposed letter <br /> to Capital City Cablevision, Inc. regarding their provision of ser- <br /> vice to the City and its abutting municipalities, and will indicate <br /> to New Brighton St. Anthony' s interest in further investigation of <br /> a common franchise with those municipalities. <br /> Reports from the Mayor and Councilman Marks were accepted as agenda <br /> addendum. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Ranallo <br /> to approve the second reading of Ordinance 1979-008. <br /> ORDINANCE 1979-008 <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF HEALTH, .AN <br /> ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO THE BOARD OF HEALTH, AND <br /> PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF HEALTH LAWS, <br /> ORDINANCES -AND ORDERS; AMENDING CHAPTER II OF <br /> THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING SECTION <br /> 255 THERETO. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> • <br />
