Housing Federation. <br /> Mayor .Haik left the meeting after it was recessed at 8:20 p.m. <br /> Councilman Ranallo assumed the chair and reconvened the meeting <br /> at 8: 30 p.m. <br /> Mr. Berg reported on the last meeting of the Cable T.V. Advisory <br /> Committee and. told the Council the Committee had recommended Mike <br /> Ondrey become Ken Hiebel ' s replacement on that body. He outlined <br /> the steps to be taken before the cable service proposal will be <br /> presented for their consideration in perhaps two or three months. <br /> The needs assessment surveys to be made throughout the community <br /> had been -included in the agenda. packet for their information. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> appoint Michael M. Ondrey, 2094 32nd Avenue N.E. , -:to serve on the <br /> Cable T:V. Advisory Committee. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The District #282 response to City queries regarding the heating <br /> of Parkview and Councilman Marks ' request for a discussion of the <br /> handicapped -parking at the Apache Medical Center were accepted <br /> as agenda addendum. <br /> • The modified fire prevention ordinance and,-the document provided <br /> by ,the Fire Marshal which would require sprinkler systems for <br /> light industrial, commercial and service office bu' dings were <br /> next considered. The Council indicated a willingne s to approve ? <br /> the modified ordinance, including the section which will require <br /> address numbers on the buildings, but withheld approval of inclu- <br /> sion of. the . sprinkler requirement which the City Attorney said he <br /> found of "very questionable legality since it would be inconsis- <br /> tent with the state building code. " s <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Marks <br /> to approve the second reading of Ordinance 1980-00.1 (Note: Should <br /> be first reading. On January 8, 1980 , the Ordinance was referred i} <br /> to the City Attorney -for codification, but not given a reading. ) ``Y <br /> f <br /> ORDINANCE 1980-001 E <br /> A ORDINANCE RELATING TO FIRE 'PREV.ENTION; _ADOP- <br /> TING THE MINNESOTA. UNIFORM FIRE CODE; _ADDING <br /> 'CERTAIN _FIRE' PREVENTION PROVISIONS; AND RE- <br /> PEALING SECTIONS 320, 321, 340, AND 420 OF .THE <br /> 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> • adopt Resolution 80-013 which apportions special assessments for <br /> local improvements for replatted parcels in the Soo Marie Park <br /> Addition. <br />
