Y )s <br /> -3- <br /> Agency Seminar to be held in Mankato, saying, even though the agenda <br /> might not appeartoo pertinent to current City problems, . he personal- <br /> ly had derived valuable legal -insight through past .seminars into <br /> • questions which had arisen later regarding the redevelopment of the <br /> Kenzie Terrace area and the .senior housing proposed for that district. <br /> Councilman Marks. also perceived attendance at these seminars as .. <br /> giving an aura of professionalism to the Commission. : Mr. Jones told <br /> him it was a matter of determining which seminars could be the most <br /> cost effective for the limited..funds. available to the. Commission. <br /> The Council next considered the application for a 3 .2 temporary <br /> beer license for a .ball game in Central Park which they had accepted <br /> as an agenda addendum. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and .seconded by Mayor Haik to grant a <br /> temporary 3. 2 beer license to the Aquatrol ball team for their game <br /> to be. played _in. Central Park April 5, 1981 subject to the required <br /> deposit in advance of the game. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye : Sundland and Haik. <br /> Nay: Marks. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Because of the technical standards involved in setting noise pollution <br /> • limits, staff had recommended it would .probably. not be either <br /> feasible or desirable to include these standards in the proposed <br /> nuisance and refuse control ordinance. . It was agreed it might be <br /> advisable to have staff put out a flyer in advance of the coming <br /> elections advising candidates and their supporters of their <br /> responsibilities related to campaign literature. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> approve the .third .reading and adopt Ordinance 1981-004 . <br /> ORDINANCE 1981-004 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO NUISANCES AND REFUSE <br /> CONTROL OFFENSES , AMENDING SECTION 1000 AND REPEALING <br /> 1020 OF .THE 1973 CODE. OF ORDINANCES <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks .and seconded by Councilman Sundland to <br /> adopt the resolution which authorizes. the agreement whereby St. <br /> Anthony will undertake the sweeping of Silver Lane from Stinson to <br /> Silver Lake Road. <br /> RESOLUTION 81-020 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE -MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER <br /> • TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN' RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> AND THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY FOR <br /> STREET SWEEPING SERVICES <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br />
