Hamer' s recommendation that assess- <br /> ments for County Road C Project 1979-003 be deferred until the <br /> Anthony Lane North reconstruction is .completed, since a number of <br /> the same properties are involved in -both projects. : His June 4th <br /> memorandum containing a breakdown. of the project costs was accepted <br /> as informational. <br /> Scheduling of interviews for the City Manager position will be con- <br /> sidered during a .special Council meeting to be held at 7 :00 P.M. , <br /> June 11th. <br /> The Acting City Manager had attached to his June 9th memorandum <br /> regarding the problem with MTC riders parking their cars in the City ' s <br /> liquor store parking lot every day., a survey indicating only three <br /> of twenty-six vehicles parked in the lot every day belong to St. Anthony <br /> residents. Mr.. Hamer was notin favor of using the Central- Park <br /> parking lot as an alternate parking site as suggested in the MTC <br /> letter June lst. Staff was. directed .to tactfully inform the parkers <br /> the City needs the space they are using every day and suggest they <br /> contact the MTC for an alternate parking site in the area. <br /> In his June 9th memorandum, Mr. Berg had proposed the unclaimed <br /> property held by the Police Department be disposed of at the Anoka- <br /> Fridley auctions -which drew more prospective buyers than when the sale <br /> was held in .St. Anthony. The auction will be. publicized on the <br /> Community Bulletin Board as well as -through the St. Anthony Bulletin. <br /> An agenda addendum was the request from. Trans Alaska .Seafood, Inc. <br /> • that they be granted permission to- conduct a ,nonprofit fund raiser <br /> to benefit the North Suburban Arts Center and -the St. - Anthony Civic <br /> Orchestra in the .Apache Plaza parking .lot on June ll.th. The Mayor <br /> said she had assumed the activity had been cleared -with the Country <br /> Store and Country Club by the Apache management. Mr. Berg said neither <br /> store had -objected to the same type .of sale at Apache.- the previous <br /> week. <br /> Motion, by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> grant -permission to Trans Alaska Seafood, Inc. for a seafood sale <br /> as proposed in the Apache Plaza .Shopping Center. parking lot from <br /> 10 : 00 A.M. to 6 :00 P.M. , June 11, 1981. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by. Councilman Marks to <br /> appoint Don Hickerson, Police Chief, to rep-lace Mr. Fornell as <br /> Director for. Hennepin Emergency Communications Organization, as <br /> recommended .in Mr. Hamer' s- June 8th memorandum. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Councilman. Marks commented that .the Hennepin County Bureau of Public <br /> Service traffic report substantiated the traffic count figures <br /> quoted. during the liquor store relocation- discussions. <br /> • Motion. by Councilman. Sundland and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> approve the temporary .beer permit. requested by- John Coleman, 4016 <br /> Shamrock Drive, for a couples ' softball ..game to be held in Emerald <br /> Park, June 14 , 1981. <br />
