-5- <br /> As .reported in. the July 10th memorandum by Mr. Hamer., the Kiwanis <br /> Club has .exceeded their budget of . $3 ,200 for the community bulletin <br /> board and .is now -requesting the City to pay the electrical installation <br /> costs of $503. When the Mayor .expressed her concerns this . might <br /> encourage overruns by other community organizations , the Acting. City <br /> Manager explained one of the reasons the project had exceeded its <br /> projected costs had .been his own suggestion that .the sign base be <br /> constructed of .brick rather..than railroad,: ties, as originally planned <br /> by the Kiwanis. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to <br /> approve payment of $503 to Dickson Electric for electrical installation <br /> for the community bulletin board to bepaid from the Council ' s Con- <br /> tingency Fund. <br /> Voting .on the motion: <br /> Aye: Ranallo, Letourneau and Haik. <br /> Abstention: Sundland (Kiwanis member) . <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Council was reminded of the workshop .with the Fire Department <br /> Reserves which. has been rescheduled .for 7 :00 P..M. ,' July 29 , 1981 . <br /> Mr. Soth distributed copies of the agreement with the new City Manager <br /> • for Council approval. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to adjourn the meeting at 8 :25 P.M. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Respectfully submitted , <br /> Helen Crowe <br /> Secretary <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City -Clerk <br />
