-3- <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by .Councilman Ranallo to <br /> direct City- staff to develop an .amendment to Section 965 of the <br /> City ordinance to reflect the recommended changes related to the <br /> penalty for marijuana possession. in- a motor vehicle.' <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Hamer presented. a geological survey, which along with the July 30th <br /> analytical study of the City' s .water supply by the Minnesota Depart- <br /> ment of Health, supported his contention that the potential for <br /> contamination- problems for St. Anthony, possibly from the Twin City <br /> Arsenal property, is practically non-existent. <br /> The Council ' s budget hearings with the Fire and Police department <br /> heads were tentatively . scheduled from 6 :30 P.M. to 9 :30 P.M. , <br /> September 9th and with the City Clerk and Public Works Director <br /> from 6 : 30 P.M. to 9 :00 P .M. , September 16th in order that the City <br /> budget can be verified by the Council at their September 22nd meeting. <br /> The July 27th letter from St. Louis Park regarding their efforts to <br /> have open burning and the Police Department June report were accepted <br /> as informational. <br /> The application from Michael Miller of the St. Anthony Health Center <br /> to serve on the Advisory Committee to the Health Board will be con- <br /> sidered .when these and -other committee appointments are discussed <br /> by the Council in December. Mr. Hamer' s letter of appreciation <br /> for Mr. . Miller' s interest in the community' s health issues was <br /> • included in the agenda packet. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve payment of all verified claims listed in the August 11, <br /> 1981 Council agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> approve payment of -the reduced figure of $1,607. 81 to Westwood <br /> Planning and Engineering Company for planning services related to <br /> the Kenzie Terrace' Study. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman .Ranallo <br /> to approve payment of $2,077 .25 to the Dorsey Firm for legal services <br /> during May, 1981. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to <br /> approve payment of $140,066 .05 to Kenko, Inc. for services related <br /> to the Anthony Lane Improvements Project, as recommended by the <br /> Acting City Manager. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br />
