ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> September 8 , 1981 <br /> The regular Council meeting, which .followed the budget hearings, was <br /> called to order by Mayor Haik at 7 :30 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call: Marks , Sundland, Haik, Ranallo, and Letourneau. <br /> Also present: David Childs, City Manager; William Soth, City <br /> Attorney; Carol .Johnson, Clerk/Treasurer; and Larry <br /> Hamer., Public Works Director. <br /> The August 25th regular Council meeting minutes were amended to <br /> insert "Federal" before "Government" in the last line of Paragraph 3 , <br /> Page 2 . <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve as submitted the minutes for the H.R.A. organization meet- <br /> ing held August 25 , 1981, and the minutes as amended for the regular <br /> Council meeting which followed. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> • motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> grant all licenses listed in the September 8, 1981 Council agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve payment of all verified claims listed in the September 8 , <br /> 1981 Council agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve payment of $8,595 to Independent School District 282 for <br /> the lease of the Parkview building between July 1, 1980 and June 30 , <br /> 1981. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The August Fire Department Report and the notice of NSP ' s rate increase <br /> application were accepted as informational as was the Investment <br /> Report, following an expression of appreciation of Mrs . Johnson' s <br /> efforts in this regard. <br /> The request from St. Charles Borromeo parish that they be permitted <br /> to serve beer during their annual steak fry, September 11th, was <br /> accepted as an agenda addendum. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Sundland <br /> to grant a temporary beer license, for which the fees will be waived, <br /> for the St. Charles parish event the evening of September 11, 1981. <br />
